💡 What is Add-on Charge Price?

The Add-on Charge Price feature allows you to add a flat fee directly to an option value. This extra charge is automatically added to the main product's price when the customer selects the option.

This article will show you how to add the charge without linking to add-on products on your store. Please refer to this guide if you prefer using flat fee for your options.

How to add price to options without add-on product (Add-on charge price)

Step 1: Add an option to option set

Step 2: Enable the Add-on price

You will see a tag button to add add-on variant on each option as shown in the below screenshot


In this case, please choose the second option "Add charge price" to add price for options without any add-on products

Step 3: Set your preferred fee

Enter the flat fee you want to charge for the option value (e.g., $5 for engraving).

Step 4: Save option set and check on your storefront

The add-on charge price feature does not work with the Price Per Letter feature and One Time Charge in this current app version yet. If you would want to use the One Time Charge feature, please use the add-on price (linking to variants) for your custom options.

How add-on price display in cart page, checkout page and order detail page?

On the Product Page

Customers will see the total add-on price dynamically update when they select an option with a flat fee.

On the Cart Page

By default, Tepo hides selected options on the cart page when using the flat fee feature.
If you want the selected options to appear on the cart page, contact the Tepo support team for assistance.


After changes:

On the Checkout Page

The total price, including the add-on charge, Tepo selections are displayed transparently to customers in this page.
